Bank Street Bookstore

I recently took to the streets for a sidewalk storytime at Bank Street Bookstore on the Upper West Side.

Here are some of the characters I met:

A Peruvian man who promised to send me a book of his own (still waiting for that email Mr. Peruvian guy, where are you?).

A woman who's husband has illustrated over 40 books who seemed unhappy that my book was made in China. Although she was wearing a silk Chinese-style shirt, which was also no doubt made in China. I found this happily ironic.

About 50 families on their way to birthday parties.

And several new Doug fans.

All-in-all an awesome Sunday.

More at Doug's blog.
